John P. Kneal is the pen name for John A. Willoughby. He writes poems, novels, and aphorisms that he calls wisdom tidbits.
John is a native of Martha’s Vineyard Island and a graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. During his working career, he has been a director, manager, underwriter and product developer for several different insurance companies. He and his wife currently reside in northern Connecticut. In his first book of poems, Everyday Poems, John has included works that are easy to understand and relate to activities, conditions and issues that are common to many people. As John likes to think of
himself somewhat like a “Norman Rockwell of Poetry”, the book also includes illustrations drawn by his daughter-in-law, Emilie Rose Willoughby. And, to add additional flavor, there are short wisdom tidbits at the start of each section. His poetry focuses on everyday people and the diversity we see all around us. Like everyday life, there are poems that relate to childhood, love, work, varied activities, rough spots, and aging. Thus, it encompasses the spectrum of life we so often see.
His book, Everyday Poems, is available through Amazon.
